DCL for System Managers

The main tool for OpenVMS system managers is OpenVMS DCL. System managers use DCL to perform daily tasks, to analyze the operating system, and to create processing structures or devices such as batch and print queues and mounted tapes. DCL is also used to create command procedures for system monitoring and maintenance. And DCL is also used to react to processing crises. All these uses require that the system manager be proficient in OpenVMS DCL.
