OpenVMS Operator Utilities

This course introduces OpenVMS utilities which allow operators to do their daily work. More than just commands, these utilities are whole programs which control, modify, and create the data that gives the OpenVMS system an identity to the user. System Managers also use these utilities and will benefit from the material in this course.

An operator is an Information Systems specialist who focuses on everyday support of the OpenVMS data processing, hardware and system activities including servicing of printers, tapes, terminals, disk or file backup/restore, print queues, batch queues, user authorization and file quotas and user related problem solving.

The student-operator's account is enabled to allow use of these utilities to provide for practice and understanding of operation.
